Jeanne Beker inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame

Canada's Walk of Fame has selected fashion entrepreneur, television personality and journalist Jeanne Beker, as one of its 2016 inductees.

"Each year, we shine the spotlight on remarkable Canadians who have excelled in their careers and have contributed to the cultural fabric of this country, inspiring future generations to follow in their footsteps," says Melanie Hurley, CEO of Canada's Walk of Fame, in a news statement. "We are proud to honour this year's inductees whose achievements will leave a lasting legacy for generations of Canadians."
Beker was nominated this year alongside other Canadian celebrities including NHL hockey player Darryl Sittler, musician Corey Hart, filmmaker Deepa Mehta as well as actor and director Jason Priestley, and Al Waxman.
“So exciting! I've just been named as an inductee to this year's Canada's Walk of Fame! #cwofame2016 What a journey it's been!” Beker tweeted on Tuesday.
Beker will be honoured during Canada's Walk of Fame Celebration Events on Thursday, October 6 at the Allstream Centre in Toronto.
