Joe Fresh closes Fifth Avenue retail locations

Canadian fashion brand, Joe Fresh has closed all but one store in New York City. The company has recently closed its Midtown Manhattan retail location at 510 Fifth Avenue and its Flatiron store at 110 Fifth Avenue.

The American media first reported in 2015 that Joe Fresh would close its two Fifth Avenue stores and that it hired CBRE Group to help sublease the locations. The two stores join the other two Joe Fresh locations that closed last fall at Herald Square and Madison Avenue. One store still remains at 462 Broadway in SoHo.

Club Monaco Co-Founder Joe Mimran founded Joe Fresh in 2006. The Loblaw Companies Limited brand entered the US market in 2011 with pop up and flagship locations in NYC, and it opened shop-in-shops at several JC Penney locations. The press reported that the two companies decided to not renew their distribution agreement, which expired on January 30, 2016.

Though the company has shuttered stores in the US, it announced plans to enter the Philippine market in partnership with SSI Group.
