Kering to collaborate on Sundance's Women at Sundance Fellowship
Kering just announced its collaboration with Sundance on the ‘Women at Sundance’ Fellowship Program. The program pairs six women from one of Sundance Institute’s programs with industry leaders for a 12-month individualized fellowship program. Mentors provide coaching, learning opportunities and access to networking events. The fellowship program has supported 29 filmmakers over the past three years.
Sundance Executive Director Keri Putnam said of the fellowship, “We have always believed that diverse artists and perspectives are critical to the health and vibrancy of independent storytelling. We are grateful for Kering’s support in helping us raise awareness of the importance of gender equality in entertainment and empowering women filmmakers.”
Kering develops leading luxury and sport & lifestyle brands including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Puma, Cobra and Tomas Maier, among others. Kering employs over 37,000 employees across more than 120 countries. In 2014, the company generated over €10 billion in revenue.
