Kipling North America, a division of VF Sportswear, Inc, announced on Thursday the opening of its first interactive retail store concept, in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort.
The full-price retail location in Orlando, Florida, is focused on “personalization” and offering consumers a personalized shopping experience. A key feature at Kipling in Disney Springs, will be an area for consumers to customize their purchases with different style options, such as monogramming and accessorizing purchases with Kipling’s iconic monkey keychain, playful patches, buttons, and more.
A new digital experience has also been added including a photo booth that has been built into the store's design and the launch of retail bots, which will allow Kipling to chat with visitors on their smart phones, and through Qr Codes placed throughout the retail space.
"Disney Springs is quickly establishing itself as an exciting shopping, dining and entertainment destination for both locals and visitors alike," says Nina Flood, president of Kipling North America, in a news statement. "We are thrilled to be one of its first retail tenants to open in Town Center and to unveil our new retail concept there.”
Kipling was founded in Belgium in 1987 and crafts lightweight handbags, luggage and accessories.
