L’Oreal USA will acquire key assets from wholesale distributor Raylon Corp

L’Oreal USA on Monday said that it reached an agreement to acquire key assets from Raylon Corporation, a wholesale distributor based in Reading, Pennsylvania.

The acquisition will allow L’Oreal USA to expand its distribution of  SalonCentric’s salon professional products throughout Pennsylvania, New Hersey, Delaware, and portions of Maryland, West Virginia and New York. The agreement also enables Raylon to align its field sales and stores with SalonCentric’s field sales and store network, which includes 13 stores and services to approximately 3,500 salons.

Of the agreement, SalonCentric President Bertrand Fontaine said, "We are excited to expand SalonCentric and the brands we distribute into this key territory and to share the SalonCentric experience with a new community of beauty professionals.” Fontaine was also enthusiastic about increase the company’s footprint and building relationships with beauty professionals in the Northeast.

Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, SalonCentric was established in 2008 as a key distributor of L’Oreal USA products. The company currently operates in 48 states and carries leading beauty brands including L’Oreal Professionnel, Matrix, Mizani, Pureology, Redken 5th Avenue and Surface Hair, among others.

L’Oreal USA, the largest subsidiary of the L’Oreal Group, is a global leader in beauty products and distribution. L’Oreal USA manages over 30 iconic beauty brands, including essie, Garnier, Giorgio Armani Beauty, Kerastase, Kiehl’s, Lancome and Yves Saint Laurent Beaute, among others. Based in NYC, the company employs over 10,000 people across New York and 13 other states.
