La Isla was born nearly 15 years ago in Colombia with a mission to create first-rate stylish swimwear items with colourful prints inspired by the vibrant Colombian landscape. Due to its success, the brand quickly outgrew its physical origins and relocated its head office to San Luis Obispo, California, where it is based now.

Popular for the perfect fit, stunning fabrics and unique hand embroidery of its swimwear and apparel, La Isla produces between 150 and 300 thousand items per year, all manufactured in Colombia by local personnel.

The company has been featured in Sports Illustrated, Vogue USA, Marie Claire and other international magazines. Present in the U.S., Canada and Europe, La Isla’s average annual turnover is estimated to be over the $10 million mark (unconfirmed figures), and the business is forecasted to continue growing by 15% in the next years.
