La Perla's largest store in the world opens in Hong Kong

On 29th October, La Perla celebrated the opening of its new Russell Street flagship store in Hong Kong, where three La Perla stores already exist inside the city's most exclusive shopping malls, with a huge event.

A film set-like structure was erected at Hong Kong's Pier 4 to welcome 500 guests, among them Chinese top model Liu Wen, La Perla's brand ambassador in Asia, and actor/model Hu Bing, one of the major fashion influencers in China.

The guests were welcomed by a performance produced by choreographer Bianca Li, who recreated the feeling of a movie dedicated to La Perla's creations, using glamorous 1950s and 60s atmospheres. 
 

The design concept for the new Hong Kong flagship was commissioned to Italian studio Baciocchi Associati, which looked after all of the label's stores. Baciocchi drew inspiration from Italian architecture, highlighting the distinctive triple arcade on the store's façade, panelled with backlit metal wire for an effect similar to tulle fabric. Over the façade, a 13x9m screen broadcasts La Perla's images and video clips.

Inside the store, the area dedicated to women's collections is decorated in harmonious hues, from lilac to pale blue. The second floor hosts the men's collections, and the dominant colours are grey and navy. The fourth floor is reserved for the VIP area, where special customers can access the exclusive Atelier and Made to Measure collections cocooned by a sophisticated atmosphere.
 

The Russell Street flagship is the twelfth La Perla store to open in just 5 months, with a special focus on Asia. A large store opened in Seoul last September, in addition to new Chinese shops in Beijing and Sanya. All further evidence of the company's strategy aimed at consolidating the retail channel worldwide.
