Lancel names new head of communications

The leather goods company Lancel has named Christophe Mayer director of communications. He succeeds Thuy Tranthi Rieder, vice president of marketing and communications, who left one year ago for personal reasons. At his new post, Mayer will be tasked with working on the repositioning of the brand created by Richemont.

Mayer began his career at the company Havas, then joined Publicis, where he served as CEO of ZenithOptimedia, prior to several years at LVMH as deputy WW media director. Mayer then returned to Publicis, where he served as deputy director of L'Oréal.

In his new position, he will report to Lancel CEO Marianne Romestain and will also serve as an executive committee member of the brand.
