Le Bon Marché’s Galerie Imaginaire Homme gets California twist
May 18, 2015
Until June 30, Le Bon Marché’s menswear space will embody a Californian spirit. The Parisian Left Bank department store has launched its concept for Galerie Imaginaire with the theme "West Coast Club".

Numerous American or California-inspired brands now have the opportunity to show off in the Galerie. Nixon, for example, has put together a temporary space called "Alive in California", in which it showcases a Triumph Scrambler 865 CC motorcycle customized by Spirit of Seventies. The watch brand also displays its surf-style accessories and watches, including its first smartwatch, the UltraRide.
Surfing is clearly at the heart of the Galerie Ephémère, with photos by the American photographer Gray Malin that inspired a capsule collection by the footwear brand Sperry Top-Sider. Skateroom, meanwhile, reimagines works by Warhol and Basquiat on skateboards.

The French team behind the brand Wait, meanwhile, displays its Paris Plage Surf Club hoodies and t-shirts designed especially for Le Bon Marché. As a bonus, the space has gotten a musical touch thanks to the collective Lola James Harper, which offers a selection of folk LPs, fruit juices and sweets. Men’s accessories brand Cinnabar and colorful sandals and fragrances by the brand Moses round off the summer selection.
