LK Bennett taps former BHS boss as new CEO

LK Bennett, the British accessible luxury brand, has appointed Darren Topp, ex Chief Executive of collapsed retailer BHS, as new CEO.

He will succeed interim Chief Executive Robert Bensoussan, who after two years will move to the role of Non-Executive Director.

Additionally, the luxury retailer announced the appointment of Michael Hitchcock as new Chief Financial Officer.

The former CEO of BHS has spent over 30 years working in the retail industry across various senior positions at Marks and Spencer and BHS. He became CEO of the collapsed chain last year after serving as Chief Operating Officer, and stayed with the company until its demise in April.

At Marks and Spencer, Darren Topp held roles including Divisional Executive, Head of HR and in regional and store manager roles.

Robert Bensoussan will also remain as a shareholder of the company.
