London Fashion Week moves, to be held in Soho from S/S16

London Fashion Week has a new venue as of September 2015 - the Brewer Street Car park in Soho, central London. The show has been held at Somerset House on Strand since 2009, and the BFC offices will remain there.

The Brewer Street Car Park, which has been an increasingly popular venue choice for cool exhibitions in the last years, will host the BFC Show Space for the catwalk shows. The art deco building will also be home to the Designer Showrooms, for those designers who hold exhibitions rather than shows.

Munira Mirza, Deputy Mayor for Education and Culture, said: "Brewer Street Car Park as the host venue is a brilliant development for London Fashion Week. With its position in Soho, it is at the heart of an area that has long been associated with fashion and creativity in general. I am sure the move will literally drive even more interest in one of the most important sectors for our economy."

Brewer Street Car Park was used to showcase the International Fashion Showcase last season. This season, the catwalk and event schedule will be accompanied by a programme of free talks open to the public.

The new and exciting venue has already been dubbed as Brewer Street’s ‘Fashion Park’ and will offer freedom and flexibility to designers who will be able to transform the show space to reflect their own aesthetics and identity."
