Lord & Taylor expanded its private label offering on Wednesday with the launch of Laboratory, an in-house contemporary menswear collection.
Laboratory consists of bomber jackets, printed t-shirts and sweatshirts, sporty polo shirts and elastic waist pants that have become wardrobe staples for millennial men. The entire collection retails for under $100.
The new men’s private label, builds on the increased offering of contemporary designers and brands in store, including Carlos Campos, Lucio Castro, Plac and Paul & Joe. Nelson Mui, Men’s Fashion Director of Hudson’s Bay Co. and Lord & Taylor, told the American press that the retailer will continue to produce Black Brown 1826, the private men’s label of classic styles.
In 2015, the retailer launched Design Lab, the in-house contemporary label for women. The addition of Laboratory is a follow-up to the successful launch of the women’s private label.
Laboratory is available on the Lord & Taylor website and at 19 stores throughout the US, including the New York City flagship store.
