Lululemon upsets Beyoncé fans with one tweet

Published
Apr 1, 2016

Vancouver-based athletics brand Lululemon had a strong reaction on Twitter to Beyoncé’s new athleisure line - Ivy Park - when a Twitter follower asked “Is ivy park supposed to be like Lululemon?”

Their response to Twitter user @GoodGuySly : “They do say imitation is the best form of flattery. Maybe Beyoncé is so Crazy in Love with our brand, she made her own.”

But as the internet knows, you don’t mess with Beyoncé fans who of course fired back one tweet at a time at Lululemon’s reaction.

The tweet was soon deleted and apologies from Lululemon’s Twitter account were issued to Beyoncé fans.

“Never mess with queen B and her Beyhive,” one twitter user wrote.

I think it's safe to say Lululemon knows now.
