LVMH: Anish Melwani to head North American subsidiary

Anish Melwani has been appointed CEO of LVMH Inc., the US-based subsidiary of luxury group LVMH. He will "be responsible for the development of LVMH activities in North America", according to a statement released by the French group. This nomination will be effective from January 4th.

The position was previously held by Pauline Brown, who decided to leave the group "in order to pursue other opportunities". She had joined LVMH in 2012, after working for companies such as Bain & Co, Estée Lauder and Carlyle. She will remain in her current position until the end of the year in order to "facilitate a smooth transition".

Anish Melwani previously worked for McKinsey, a large consulting firm that he had joined in 1999. He is also a graduate from Harvard University.
