LVMH’s Nowness names Anna Higgs as new Creative Director

Award-winning video channel Nowness announced on Friday the appointment of Anna Higgs as Creative Director, effective from spring 2016.

Higgs, who is an award-winning producer and commissioner, will lead the platform’s global growth strategy by using her extensive experience and network to expand its reach and community. She was most recently a commissioning executive and Head of Digital at Film4, where she led ground-breaking innovation with films such as the historical physiological thriller ‘A Field in England’ by Ben Wheatley, and the comedy-drama 'Frank' by Lenny Abrahamson.

Higgs’ arrival coincides with a new era for the site, as it moves forward towards consolidating the platform as an original content creator and video channel.

“In the last two years alone we've grown our monthly video views from 500k to 5m. With Anna on board we look forward to continuing our mission to inspire and entertain,” said Daniel Coutinho, Managing Director.

Launched in 2010 and owned by LVMH, NOWNESS features the work of world class filmmakers and showcases original thought-provoking storytelling. The online platform launched a Chinese-language site in 2012 and since 2013 videos are available in up to ten languages including English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian.
