Miu Miu moves divisions to Paris

Miu Miu has announced plans to strengthen its ties in France with the relocation of ‘a number of its departments’ to the French capital. The otherwise Milan-based brand hopes to bolster its marketing team in its French subsidiary and to consolidate ties with Paris. Miu Miu’s industrial and commercial divisions will remain in Italy.

Prada’s younger line has always favored relations with France, showing at Paris Fashion Week since 2006 and in 2011 signing an agreement with Conseil Economique, Social et Environnemental to show hold its runway shows in the Palais d’Iéna.

The label also recently revealed stars of critically-acclaimed French film ‘La Vie d’Adèle’, Lea Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos, as the stars of its Resort 2014 campaign, shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in New York.

Miu Miu is currently sold in 133 directly-operated stores across the world and posted first-half 2013 sales of €255.9 million.
