Mountain Hardwear has found its President

American group Columbia Sportswear recently appointed John Christian Walbrecht as President of the outdoor sports brand Mountain Hardwear, effective March 7th.

Since the departure of Topher Gaylord six months ago, Scott Kerslake – CEO of the yoga and fitness brand PrAna (Columbia Sportswear group) – who has been filling in as the interim president of Mountain Hardwear.

John Christian Walbrecht served as President/CEO of Fenix Outdoors North America, based in Boulder, Colorado, where he was responsible for the strategic direction of several well-known performance outdoor brands, such as Fjällraven and Brunton, since 2012. Prior to that, he served as president of Brandbase, Inc., where he was responsible for global brand management.
