Nike Golf names Jordan Brand executive new president

From basketball to golf: it’s a big change for Daric Ashford. The general manager of Jordan Brand for North America has been named the new president of Nike Golf. 

But not to worry; with 21 years of experience at Nike, Ashford is quite familiar with the sports world giant. Nike Golf’s new president is taking over for Cindy Davis, 52, who has announced her retirement from Nike Golf after six years.

Nike Golf, which sponsors world number one Rory McIlroy as well as Tiger Woods, managed to maintain sales during its last financial year ending in May. It has generated 789 million US dollars as compared with 792 million one year earlier.
