Nike pops up for NBA All-Star Weekend

Published
Feb 9, 2016

It’s a big weekend for basketball fans and where there is basketball, there is Nike not too far behind. For the NBA All-Star Weekend taking place in Toronto, Ontario, from February 12 to the 14, Nike and Jordan Brand unveiled plans on Tuesday for pop-up shops and customer experiences.

Nike unveils pland for Snkrs Xpress - Nike

Among them, Snkrs Xpress, a custom streetcar, will sell a curated selection of footwear as it makes its way through Toronto. The Nike Air Force 1 Flyknit, Air Jordan XXX, Jordan Cement IV, and Kobe 11 Royalty are among the footwear that will be sold.

The Snkrs Xpress Station will be located at 277 Queen Street West in downtown Toronto and open to the public (via membership). In addition to Toronto, Snkrs Xpress Stations will also pop-up in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.

Nike also announced the opening of Canada’s first Jordan-only retail location. Located in downtown Toronto, the store will feature a premium assortment of Jordan footwear and apparel as well as barber services and personal shopping. It will be open February 12 to the 15.

What’s more, a NikeID customization pop-up will also open in Toronto for the weekend.
