Nivea chooses Tessa Virtue as first ever Canadian brand ambassador

Nivea has announced Canadian Ice Dancer, World Champion and Olympic Gold Medallist, Tessa Virtue, as its first ever Canadian brand ambassador.
 

"Nivea is a brand that is trusted to make users look and feel their best, genuinely and confidently. Tessa exemplifies the same qualities on and off the ice, which makes her a very natural fit to be our Brand Ambassador,” said Nivea Marketing Director, Julia Geissen, in a news statement.
 
The Canadian sweetheart is part of an ice dancing duo, with ice dancing partner Scott Moir, and recently made one last splash at the Olympics in PyeongChang before announcing her retirement.

"I'm delighted to announce that I'm partnering with Nivea Canada as their first-ever Canadian Brand Ambassador! Working with an iconic brand like Nivea is an exceptional honour — I adore the products, and I LOVE that the company is all about feeling good in your skin!" Virtue, 28, posted on Twitter on Thursday.
 
In her first ad for the skincare brand, owned by the Beiersdorf Group, Virtue is captured skating and training to promote the company’s new moisturizing line dubbed Nivea Care.
 
Virtue has already had her own fair share of partnerships including a jewelry line with Hillberg & Berk, and has previously launched an eyewear collection with Montreal-based company BonLook.
