Nixon opens first New York store

Published

Californian watch and accessories brand Nixon recently opened a second store in London's Covent Garden. Now it's followed it up with the brand's inaugural New York store.

The Nixon New York City store in SoHo

The Big Apple store is located on Prince Street in Soho, and features unique design elements that differentiate it from the brand's Paris and London stores. This includes a watch installation of 72 timepieces, displayed on undulating plinths that appear to float on the surface of a water-filled tank.

It also has a watch wall and customisation area, and was designed by Checkland Kindleyside, which took inspiration from the construction of the underside of skate bowls for part of the store.

“Our retail stores have proven to be a successful vehicle in authentically raising the brand’s profile,” said Nixon SVP of Direct
to Consumer, Tim Mack.
