Nordstrom and American Eagle are the latest retailers to launch chatbots for holiday shopping. The two retailers partnered with Snaps and Pandorabots to launch a mobile text service to assist shoppers.

New York City-based company Snaps developed Nordstrom’s text service that answers customers inquiries in the moment to help them shop for gifts. Users can also ask to speak to an associate on the service. Nordstrom and Snaps’ chatbot is available for assistance through December 24 and is available on Facebook Messenger and Kik.

Snaps currently has bots with Simon Premium Outlets, Jordan, Bud Light and Trolli.

American Eagle partnered with Pandorabots to launch a similar service, which is also available on Facebook Messenger and Kik. The Aerie bot helps answers shoppers questions and assists in finding the right bra for certain occasions. American Eagle also launched the AEO Holiday Gift bot that offers users gifts options based on their questions.

Prior to Nordstrom and American Eagle launching chatbots, Mall of America and Fashion Island this month launched a mobile concierge service for the holiday season in partnership with IBM’s Watson technology and Satisfi. Macy’s also partnered with Watson for the Macy’s On Call app that launched at 10 stores earlier this year.
