After one year in the position, Lydia Maurer has decided to resign as creative director at Paco Rabanne to pursue other professional opportunities. A successor is expected to be named in the next few months.
She “brought new spirit of femininity and modernity” and “contributed to raising the profile of the house on the international fashion stage,” the Puig-ownded company said, noting Maurer worked on the spring 2013 and fall collections.
Previous women’s wear creative director Manish Arora left the company after exactly two seasons to work on his own line after helping relaunch Paco Rabanne’s dormant fashion business in 2011.
