Perry Ellis and Pico Manufacturing enter license deal for Original Penguin

Perry Ellis International, Inc. announced Thursday that it has entered into a license agreement with Pico Manufacturing Sales Corporation for An Original Penguin by Munsingwear.

 
The new agreement is for the design, production and distribution of Original Penguin boys underwear and sleepwear in the US and Canada. The product is planned to launch at retail with premium department stores and children’s specialty stores for Fall/Holiday 2016.
 
Perry Ellis has entered into a number of license agreements for the design and distribution of Original Penguin. In January 2016, the company signed an agreement with Al Matjar Al Watany Trading Establishment for the right to design and distribute Original Penguin in Saudi Arabia. The brand will be distributed at Al Matjar Al Watany retail stores and mall and street retail locations.

In 2015, the company entered a license agreement with Bespoke Fashion to produce hosiery for Original Penguin and with BMI Wholesale Trading Private Limited to sell the brand in India.
