The Pokémon craze swept the US all over again with the launch of the Pokémon Go app exactly 20 years after the game's debut. The Nintendo video game franchise made Pokémon catching a virtual reality experience on mobile devices in July, and it sparked a frenzy that rivals the franchise’s first launch in the US. The craze has since dissipated, but it made its way into the fashion realm with the help of Prabal Gurung.

The New York City-based designer launched this month a capsule collection of Pokémon-inspired pieces exclusively for Jeffrey New York. The capsule collection consists of dresses, sweaters, skirts, shirts and trousers inspired by characters from the franchise.

The most notable pieces from the collection include a pink cashmere and rabbit fur sweater, an all-over print t-shirt and pink trousers that are inspired by the Jigglypuff character, and a white skirt featuring silhouettes of Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur. Other pieces from the collection include a bomber jacket, colorblock dress and v-neckline dress.

Also this year, Gurung launched collaborations with Toms in support of his home country Nepal and with Lane Bryant that will launch in March 2017.

The Prabal Gurung x Pokémon collection ranges in price from $325 to $1,795.
