Premium Outlet Collection Edmonton announces first tenants

Ivanhoé Cambridge and Simon Property Group announced on Tuesday the first 70 retailers slated to make up Edmonton's next shopping destination, Premium Outlet Collection Edmonton International Airport (EIA).

 
Opening on May 2, the outlet shopping centre will be a fully enclosed 428,000-square-foot space featuring up to 100 fashion brands, and outlet stores.
 
The centre will be anchored by six major tenants, including DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, F21, H&M, Nike Factory Store, Old Navy Outlet, and Marshalls.

Other confirmed retailers will include an Aldo outlet, Banana Republic Factory Store, La Vie En Rose, Under Armour, Gap Factory Store, Lolë Outlet, Famous Footwear Outlet and more.
 
"We're extremely proud to be bringing this new guest-focused shopping experience to Edmonton and surrounding areas, providing an enhanced value proposition to both shoppers and the Alberta Capital Region," said Jason Bos, General Manager of Premium Outlet Collection EIA, Ivanhoe Cambridge, in a news statement.

"This unique centre is expected to be a sought-after shopping destination, drawing value-seeking, fashion-conscious shoppers, travellers in transit and tourists visiting the province."
 
Premium Outlet Collection EIA will also house a variety of specialised and complementary services such as home delivery, cell charging stations, as well as an experiential market.
 
The shopping centre is ideally positioned to service the 6.5 million tourists who visit the Edmonton area annually; arriving through EIA, one of Canada's busiest airports. EIA welcomed 8.2 million passengers in 2014, a traffic count that has doubled over the past ten years.
 
The new mall, which was initially scheduled to open in fall 2017, represents a $215 million investment.
