Primark to expand in the US with six new stores

Irish fast fashion clothing retailer Primark has revealed that it will be expanding in the US this year.

The retailer currently has two stores in the country, in Boston's Downtown Crossing and Pennsylvania's King of Prussia Mall. In 2016, it expects to open six more, in Danbury Fair (Danbury, Conn.), Willow Grove Mall (Willow Grove, Pa.), Freehold Raceway Mall (Freehold, N.J.), South Shore Plaza (Braintree, Mass.), Staten Island Mall (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Burlington Mall (Burlington, Mass.).

Primark also recently revealed that it intends to open its ninth store in the Northeastern U.S. at American Dream, in East Rutherford, N.J. The store is projected to open as part of the mall opening in 2017.

Primark is currently also refurbishing and remodeling its UK headquarters, which are based in Reading, England and also house a Primark store on the ground floor.
