Pringle of Scotland welcomes Fran Stringer as Womenswear Design Director, a newly created position for the company amid efforts to expand its collections. With Stringer overseeing womenswear, Massimo Nicosia can move from Head of Design to Menswear Design Director. Stringer will present her first runway collection for the brand during London Fashion Week this month.
Pringle of Scotland CEO Jean Fang said of Stringer’s appointment: “We are delighted to be able to expand our design team to allow both Massimo and Fran more time to dedicate to the development of the men’s and women’s seasonal collections, as well as working together on brand projects and image.”
Pringle of Scotland, founded in 1815 by Robert Pringle, is renowned for creating the class twinset and signature argyle pattern. The company expanded throughout Europe, the United States and Asia during the 19th and 20th centuries. The brand continues to focus on quality, style, authenticity and innovation, principles identified by Robert Pringle 200 years ago.
