Quiz expands curve collection reach with JD Williams and Simply Be wholesale deal
Fast fashion brand Quiz is linking up with N Brown to gain wider exposure for its larger sizes curve collection. The latest wholesale extension of the Quiz brand should expose it to a massive new group of customers.
Listing with those two retailers gives Quiz an outlet with two of N Brown’s so-called Power Brands. Simply Be is one of the biggest retailers of curve products in the UK and JD Williams has a huge customer base among an older demographic.
But Quiz will also add an important element to the N Brown offer with the brand specialising in occasionwear, eveningwear and smart casualwear that combines a trend edge with very low prices.
Scotland-based Quiz, which listed on the stock exchange via the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) less than a year ago, has grown fast to become an international brand with over 300 stores and a growing presence in over 20 countries.
And the wholesale expansion for the year-old curve offer should help it grow even faster with larger sizes being one of the key growth areas in fashion at the moment.
It announcement comes just a week after the retailer unveiled its move into menswear with a trial standalone e-commerce site for the category.
Along with the stock exchange listing last year, it all underlines the ambition that management has for the brand in a UK fashion market that may be challenged, but that has seen a number of fast-growing, dynamic newcomers disrupting the market. Names such as Boohoo and Missguided have come from almost nowhere in recent years to grab an ever-increasing share of the market from long-established players and Quiz is part of that wave of disruptor brands.
