REI announces Nuun as hydration partner in new women's adventure series

REI has created a new women's event series called the REI Outessa Summit, and is partnering with Nuun electrolytes to get women outside happily and healthily.

The REI Outessa Summit is called "every women's weekend" by the brand. It is a three-day event of female-led outdoor adventures. The women participating will gain access to coveted REI gear and products, great food and wine, and a variety of lodging choices.

Nuun electrolytes is the newest partner and will offer hydration seminars and a hydration test for women established in 2014 for the Ironman competitions.

"Through the REI Outessa Summit, we are offering women the opportunity to try something new and experience some unforgettable outdoor adventures," said Julia Stamps Mallon, co-founder and VP business development of Eventus Outdoors, the company behind REI Outessa Summit.

Camping, backpacking and kayaking will be some of the events offered at REI's Outessa Summit. Nuun will be offered at all activities.

The first Summit is in August at Kirkwood Resort in Lake Tahoe. The second scheduled Summit is at Utah's Powder Mountain in September.
