Ringly adds smart bracelets to its roster of wearable technology

Published

Ringly is among the increasing number of companies catering to customers craving stylish wearable technology. The company, which has focused on smart rings until now, has introduced the Aries Collection of smart bracelets with four semi-precious gem options. Bracelets can be pre-ordered on Ringly’s website for $195, and are slated to start shipping to customers this summer.

Similar to the company’s semi-precious gem smart rings, the bracelets connect to cell phones via Bluetooth and send notifications (via vibrations) about texts, calls and email. The bracelets can also track steps, distance, and calories burned, whereas the ring cannot. The bracelets work with iOS and Android systems via a downloadable app.

"It is our belief that your jewelry should not only be beautiful, but also smart," Ringly founder and CEO Christina Mercando d'Avignon said in a statement. "We're thrilled to announce our new collection of bracelets that help women stay on top of their notifications discreetly, without sacrificing their personal style."

Founded in 2013, Ringly is headquartered in New York City. The company has approximately 15 employees and is focused on developing discrete, fashion-forward wearable technology.
