Rituals opens first California store

European bath and body brand Rituals has opened its first west coast store in San Diego. This is the 12th boutique in the US for the brand and the first in California, with the other 11 being located in New York.

Ritual' San Diego store will feature key product lines including the Sakura line inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms, as well as the Laughing Buddha and Dao lines celebrating different aspects of Chinese culture and ritual. It will also showcase the brand's new advanced natural skincare line Namaste and limited-edition Banyu collection inspired by a Balinese water ceremony.

"The community here on the west coast adopted the wellness philosophy very early on, and we have loyalists here who have been eagerly asking us to bring [Rituals] here, to California," said Marjolein Westerbeek, President, Rituals USA in a statement.

The store has opened in Westfield UTC in San Diego which has rebranded as a resort-focused shopping destination.

Ryan Perry, general manager of Westfield UTC commented, "The brand is bringing mindful relaxation to La Jolla residents and aligns well with Westfield UTC's resort-inspired transformation."

Rituals is celebrating its opening with in-store events, giveaways, consultations and promotions throughout the month of May.

The store is located at the Westfield UTC on the main level near Nordstrom.
