Just two days after Alexander Wang announced the departure of its first President Rodrigo Bazan, Thom Browne Inc. announced that Bazan will join the company as Chief Executive Officer.

The appointment follows the closing of Sandbridge Capital’s acquisition of Thom Browne from Stripe International. Bazan was also elected to TBI’s Board of Directors in addition to his appointment as CEO.
Thom Browne stated, “I am excited for Rodrigo to join Thom Browne because of his commitment and understanding of the culture and his long term vision for the growth of the Thom Browne business. With his leadership, he will be able to guide Thom Browne both as an important business and an important collection for both men and women worldwide.”
Bazan possesses 15 years of leadership experience in the industry, 5 of which were spent as President of Alexander Wang. Prior to his stint as President, he served as Vice President and General Manager, Europe, Middle East and India for Marc Jacobs, and worked at Alexander McQueen as Chief Financial Officer and later General Manager.
Under Bazan’s leadership, Alexander Wang opened 26 global stores including a flagship store in Beijing.
Thom Browne currently operates a standalone retail location in New York City on 100 Hudson Street and is available in over 180 department store and specialty boutiques in 25 countries.
