Saks opens 107,550-square-foot anchor store at Brickell City Centre

The long-awaited Brickell City Center in Miami officially opened on Thursday with over 80 luxury retail and brand tenants including Valentino, Coach, Armani, and anchor tenant Saks Fifth Avenue. The 107,550-square-foot Saks store is the retailer’s third Miami location and seventh new store this year.

 
Saks and Jeffrey Hutchison & Associates partnered to design the three level location. The anchor store features elements such as hand-cast glass sculptures that begin on the third level and cascade down to the second level, and a warm color palette with neutral tones, rich textures and unexpected pops of color.
 
Level one of the new store houses cosmetics, apothecary, and fragrance including exclusive brands EB Florals, ExNihilo, and Kilian, while the second level showcases women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, jewelry, intimates, swim and the 10022-SHOE salon, and the third floor offers men’s categories.

In addition to the product offering, which includes labels such as Proenza Schouler, Dries Van Noten, Stella McCartney, and Brunello Cucinelli, Saks offers two spa rooms on level one, the Fifth Avenue Club on level two, and a men’s lounge on level three.

In spring 2017, the store will add Casa Tua Cucina, an in-store fine Italian kitchen and marketplace, on level one, and an intimate restaurant on level three. John Allen,’s the New York-based men’s grooming club, will also join Saks at Brickell City Centre and will be located on level three.
 
Brickell City Centre officially opened on Thursday after over a year of construction. The Simon Property Group, Whitman Family Development and Swire Properties Inc. development is a 500,000-square-foot, $1.05 billion mixed-use project that houses premium and contemporary retailers, beauty, home décor, jewelry, apparel and other retailers. Brickell City Centre is also home to a flagship hotel, two residential towers, and two mid-rise office towers.

Saks operates two additional Miami locations at Dadeland Mall and Bal Harbour Shops.
