Scotch & Soda hires CFO from Unilever

Scotch & Soda has entrusted its finances to a consumer goods expert. The Dutch fashion label has hired Geert van Iwaarden, Unilever's former CFO in Mexico and the Caribbean.

Geert van Iwaarden spent virtually his entire career at Unilever, notably supervising its financial operations in North America, and has now been appointed as Scotch & Soda's CFO and CTO.

His international expertise proved convincing for Scotch & Soda's board and its shareholders (Kelwood and Sun Capital Partners), who make no secret of their intention to expand the brand in North America.

Scotch & Soda recently opened its sixth store in New York, and also one in British Columbia, giving it 150 directly-owned stores globally. The brand is also available in 8,000 multi-brand stores worldwide.
