Shopmium launches in the UK

Coupon-discovery app, Shopmium, announced on Thursday the launch of its mobile application in the United Kingdom.

 
Launched in 2011 and bought in December 2015 by Quotient Technology Inc., Shopmium is drawing the first lines of its European expansion strategy. The company has partnered with over 15 brands such as Nestlé, Nak’d and Popchips, to bring rebates to UK customers.
 
The app works by taking a picture of a product receipt. If there is a rebate available, customers then get a refund send straight to their paypal or bank account.

The company is hoping to recruit over 1 million users by the end of the year.
