Signet adds R. Mark Graf to Board of Directors, Dale W. Hilpert to retire

Signet Jewelers announced on Wednesday the retirement of Dale W. Hilpert from the Board of Directors, effective June 28, 2017, and the appointment of R. Mark Graf to the Board of Directors as an Independent Director, effective July 1, 2017.
 

Hilpert has served as an Independent Director of the Signet Board of Directors since September 2008, after having served as a Non Executive Director of the jewelry retailer from 2003 to 2008. Hilpert also served in top executive roles at Foot Locker, Payless Shoe Source, Footstar, Venator Group, and Willams-Sonoma.
 
The executive is retiring from Signet’s Board of Directors for personal reasons.

Graf, who will join the Signet Board of Directors on July 1, brings over 30 years of experience in treasury, financial planning, accounting, corporate development and business line management to Signet.

He currently serves as CFO of Discover Financial Services, and he previously served as an Investment Advisor at Aquiline Capital Partners, as a Partner at Barrett Ellman Stoddard Capital Partners and as CFO of Fifth Third Bancorp from 2004 to 2006.
