Stampd launches at Barneys with exclusive capsule collection

Los Angeles-based brand Stampd made its debut at Barneys New York on Wednesday. The luxury retailer launched an exclusive capsule collection with Stampd on its website.

 The Barneys New York XO Stampd 130 collection is a high streetwear men’s collection featuring unique silhouettes, knits and outerwear like the Raw Oversized Camo Overdyed Tee, Overdyed Camo Cargo Zip Pant, Black Arctic Parka, and Overdyed Camo Bomber that were produced with an innovative overdye technique. Due to the technique, the products age in different ways, which the buyers can decide through treatment.
 
“I wanted to launch with Barney's when I knew it was the right time for the brand and we would have something unique to offer to the Barney's customer,” said Chris Stamp of the collaboration.

“That’s where the concept of The 130 Collection was born. With our current collection titled New Soldier, the aesthetic and timing lined up in a way that formed a very organic conversation with the Barney's team in New York. We pulled a few pieces from the current collection and re-worked them exclusively for Barney's and our 130 S. La Brea store. We added specialty washed down cottons, making every piece special - something you could only experience if you sought it out."
 
Stampd opened its Los Angeles flagship store on La Brea in April. The brand, which was named one of GQ’s Best New Designers in America in 2015, aimed to create an idea box with its Snarkitecture-designer flagship store. The store served as inspiration for the Barneys capsule and lends its name to the collection.
 
In November 2015, Stampd launched its first-ever women’s collection, and this fall, it launched its third collaboration with Puma.
 
The Barneys New York XO Stampd 130 collection is available now on the Barneys website at the Stampd flagship store on 130 South La Brea Avenue.
