Minsok will join the Minneapolis-based company from The Lego Group, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Lego Retail. In this role, he was responsible for leading the company’s branded retail channel, including 250 stores and e-commerce sites across 24 markets.

He also spent two decades at McKinsey & Company, where he held various leadership roles, worked with leading global retail and consumer companies, and led the company’s Digital Transformation group.

At Target, Minsok will be responsible for the retailer’s enterprise strategy development and retail innovation with the goal of enhancing the guest experience and accelerating growth, and he will oversee business development, including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships and joint venture initiatives.

Minsok’s appointment follows the departure of Chief Innovation Casey Carl, who stepped down from his role in April 2017 after having served for one-and-a-half years.
