Texworld USA: 274 companies gathered in New York

Published
Jan 14, 2015

The New York session of Texworld will be held from January 19 to 21 and will welcome 274 companies from the sector. Texworld will take place as part of the first NYC Textile Week, the umbrella event that also includes the denim trade show Kingpins and the menswear show MRket.

The event will be held at the Jacob K. Javits convention center and is aiming to match the success it saw one year ago. Last January’s edition saw a 8% increase in visitors, along with a 47% increase in exhibitors, with 238 companies.

Chinese companies will be in the majority for this edition, totaling 159. Add to that 27 companies from Taiwan and 11 from Hong Kong.

The offer will also be composed of companies from South Korea (40), the United States (15), India (12) and Turkey (10), where Texworld has recently begun holding an edition.

Texworld USA will also feature a range of apparel production companies. Apparel Sourcing will feature some 80 apparel suppliers there to meet brands, retailers, and US and international wholesalers.

For the first time, the event will be held alongside Kingpins, the denim trade show that launched its European edition last spring in Amsterdam. It will also be held at the same time as another show included as part of NYC Textile Week: MRket, the show dedicated to menswear.
