Texworld USA and Apparel Sourcing USA see record-breaking attendance for Winter 2018

Published
Feb 1, 2018

Messe Frankfurt-run trade shows Texworld USA and Apparel Sourcing USA attracted a record 371 exhibitors from 14 countries and  more than 4,000 visitors for their three-day Winter 2018 edition in New York this January.

The shows welcomed record numbers of exhibitors and visitors - Messe Frankfurt

The shows, which ran January 22-24 at the Javits Center in New York, brought together a wide range of international suppliers who presented textiles, trims and accessories as well as finished apparel and private label development services to industry buyers and designers.

Exhibitors covered 14 product categories, and Texworld USA attendees were also offered complementary educational seminars organized by Lenzing Fibers. Topics on the agenda this January included sustainable solutions for the global textile industry and the circular economy.

Texworld USA also featured a Trend Showcase curated by the show’s Art Directors, Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud. The space displayed fabrics from show exhibitors and gave visitors the chance to preview new color and textile offerings for Spring/Summer 2019.

New to the show this January were the “Explore the Floor” tours which were led by industry experts and focused on sustainability, allowing attendees to get to know exhibitors and their products in a more intimate context.

Over at Apparel Sourcing USA, the show shone a spotlight on denim, welcoming exhibitors specializing in womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and accessories.

In a release, Jennifer Bacon, Show Director, Fashion & Apparel, stated, “As organizers, we recognize that our responsibilities extend far beyond providing a space for the industry to do business here in New York City,” going on to explain, “We believe in building a true industry event that unites the best talent from the industry with access to education and valuable resources, as well as a chance for our vibrant community to connect and exchange ideas.”

Texworld USA is the largest East Coast fabric sourcing event for the apparel industry and is run by Messe Frankfurt. Apparel Sourcing USA is a long-term joint venture between Messe Frankfurt and CCPIT-TEX.

Messe Frankfurt, Inc., the world’s largest trade fair organizer, employs more than 2,300 people in around 30 international locations. Its events cater to a wide range of industries, including textiles, beauty, home and music.

Texworld USA and Apparel Sourcing USA will return to New York from July 23 to25, 2018.
