Los Angeles-based fashion brand, The Elder Statesman opened its first retail location in New York City. The new store is a temporary winter shop at 159 East 64th Street in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
The winter shop keeps the brand’s west coast charm best represented by its Los Angeles flagship store. The store features whitewashed walls, brick floors, wood furnishings that display the brand’s current winter collection and an indoor garden.
Greg Chait founded The Elder Statesman in Los Angeles in 2007. The brand launched with a line of custom blankets before expanding to men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, knit and woven accessories, children’s items, optical and home goods among others.
The Elder Statesman winter shop will remain through the end of February. Chait told the American media that the store may remain after February.
