Theory promotes Siddhartha Shukla to Chief Merchandising Officer
Shukla first joined the contemporary clothing company in September 2013 as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining the company, the Yale University graduate worked at Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, and Reed Krakoff in communications roles.
Theory also named J.D. Ostrow as Shukla’s successor as Chief Marketing Officer. The Penn State University alum will work alongside Shukla and Rosen on the company’s global marketing and communications.
Ostrow joins Theory from Burberry where he worked for 7 consecutive years in numerous executive roles and most recently as SVP, Engagement Marketing. He has also worked at Nike, Inter Parfums and Donna Karan.
Founded by Elie Tahari and Andrew Rosen in New York City in 1997, Theory offers contemporary fashion for men and women at close to 500 freestanding stores. Theory is one of many brands under Fast Retailing, alongside Uniqlo, Helmut Lang, and J Brand.
