Thule takes on the hiking backpack

Published

Thule has gone from biking to hiking. Founded in 1942, the Swedish company has so far specialized in car roof racks to transport skis, kayaks and bicycles.

But it has diversified its product range, expanding to child seats and bicycle trailers. It also currently offers biking bags and luggage.

For spring 2015, Thule has taken on a new segment: hiking. The Swedish company is launching a line of premium hiking bags, with three models made of Cordura: the Guidepost, coming in 88.75 and 65 liters; the Capstone, coming in 50, 40 and 32 liters; and a version for day trips at 22 liters.

Each model comes in a design aimed at men and another more geared towards women.
