Timberland to join line-up at Bread&Butter by Zalando
Timberland will be taking part at Bread & Butter by Zalando for the first time next week, joining the Berlin trade show from 31 August to 2 September at Arena Berlin. The outdoor and lifestyle brand will be trying to highlight its commitment to responsible fashion and send a strong message of sustainability at the fashion event.
To this end, the VF Corporation-owned brand will stage a green space where visitors can learn more about its sustainability efforts and sit down and relax, it said in a press release.
It will also present its Autumn/Winter 2018/2019 collaboration with British designer Christopher Raeburn during the three-day fashion festival.
Known for his utilitarian aesthetic, Raeburn’s approach is based on three principles: "Remade, Reduced und Recycled", which complement Timberland’s long-standing commitment to make its products responsibly and continually increase a higher level of recycled, organic and renewable materials.
The collaboration will debut exclusively in Berlin before being distributed worldwide later in the season. It represents an important step towards the outdoor brand’s sustainability goals.
Additionally, Timberland will launch its grant programme My Playgreen on 31 August in Berlin. Dedicated to creating, maintaining and improving city parks, community gardens and green spaces, the initiative was previously rolled out in London in 2016 and Milan in 2017. Berlin will be the focus of this year’s efforts.
