The Tommy Hilfiger Group announced on October 24 that it has entered into an agreement to bring its European tailored apparel business in-house. Since 1998, the business has been operating under a licensing agreement with Holy Fashion Group. Owned by the Holy brothers, the former managers of Hugo Boss, the group currently owns fashion brands Strellson, Windsor, Joop and also Tommy Hilfiger Tailored until Spring 2013, when the acquisition by the Tommy Hilfiger Group becomes effective.

The company stated that its tailored business, which includes clothing, dress shirts and ties, today represents over 100 million dollars in retail value.

To develop the business further in the European region, Tommy Hilfiger has appointed Michael Berngruber to the post of Vice President Tailored Clothing Europe. Mr. Berngruber brings with him over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry, of which 10 were spent at Hugo Boss. Marcel Ostwald, another former Boss executive with over nine years of experience in the tailored clothing business, will also be joining the group as the Tailored Division’s Creative Director.
