Tommy Hilfiger launches app for Europe, Gigi Hadid gets starring role
Tommy Hilfiger has launched a new European m-commerce app, which is available in four different languages and 17 countries. It will include streaming video content from high-profile brand ambassador Gigi Hadid and will also let consumers buy from the brand’s Instagram feed.
Developed by specialist company PredictSpring, it’s the PVH-owned brand’s first mobile app specifically targeting the European market and is also its first app to integrate the Hilfiger Club loyalty programme.
Gigi Hadid’s presence is ubiquitous throughout as the brand maximises the appeal of its star face and the opportunities to sell the TommyxGigi capsule collaboration collection.
PredictSpring CEO Nitin Mangtani said of the launch: ”In an era of mobile first, consumers are spending most of their time on mobile devices, and mobile apps provide an instant, direct-to-consumer shopping experience seamlessly blending content and commerce.”
The seamless integration of the Instagram feed for TommyxGigi is a key feature with the ‘buy’ button aiming to boost conversion.
It also includes in-store item scanning so users can check product availability and order items directly through the app, and there’s a big personalisation element based on the users’ activity and location.
Members of the Hilfiger Club can also login to their loyalty accounts via the app and receive personalised messages, promotions and event invitations with immediate access to loyalty rewards.
