Tranoï moves into high gear in New York
Jan 28, 2016
Tranoï intends to expand its US tradeshow. Its next edition will take place in New York from 21-23 January.
For this edition, the French organizer has recruited a communication agency with offices in New York and Los Angeles, has chosen an ambassador to promote the event, and has formed a partnership with the Made organization of young American designers.

The communication agency is Factory PR, with customers such as Steve Madden, Diesel, Parsons, Maison Jules (Macy’s), Westfield et Superdry.
Tranoï has recruited a heavy weight to promote its show : Simon Collins, former dean of the Parsons School of Design and Fashion, who stepped down from this position in fall 2014. He has previously worked with Polo Ralph Lauren, Zegna and Nike. At Tranoï, he holds the position of US Creative Advisor. He will work in particular with young designers in the Big Apple.
Tranoï is also getting closer to Made, the New-York based organization that brings together young designers. "Made makes it possible for young designers to take part in Fashion Weeks. But it is not a sales platform after the shows. We can do that", comments David Hadida, Tranoï's Director. In February, about 10 designers will take advantage from this new partnership, and this number should rise to 90 for the next edition ; among the participants, Lorenzo Martone, and its brand Martone Cycling.
Tranoï seems to have given up its project of finding another location for the show. However, the September edition should expand with a second location.
