Under Armour to launch UAS, Tim Coppens capsule and pop up

Under Armour and Executive Creative Director Tim Coppens are set to launch the Under Armour Sportswear 01-TC Select collection inspired by Coppens’ time spent in New York City.


The Under Armour Sportswear 01-TC Select collection


 
01-TC Select is an 18-piece capsule collection of men’s, women’s and unisex apparel inspired by urban city life. The collection consists of camouflage coats, parkas, and down bomber jackets that are fully functional in the urban environment. Notable pieces from the collection include the men’s water-resistant Transparent Parka and Ranger Jacket and the women’s Transparent Cape, and down quilted and wool bomber jackets.
 
Under Armour and Coppens will launch the capsule at a pop up shop at 27 Mercer Street where the sportswear company held its UAS presentation during NYFW in September. The shop will open on December 2 and will remain through December 12.

Coppens joined Under Armour as Executive Creative Director in June to design for the new Under Armour Sportswear collection. The new line, which Under Armour describes as “fashion without hindrance or restraint” can be considered as Under Armour’s answer to Adidas’ Y-3 and Stella McCartney lines and Nike’s collaborations with Olivier Rousteing, Riccardo Tisci and Kim Jones and ongoing collection with Undercover.
 
The Under Armour Sportswear 01-TC Select collection will also be available at Barneys New York, Concepts, Politics, Crème 321, A Ma Maniere, Feature, and Xhibition.
