Unifab: Chanel and Fusalp join board of directors
Fusalp and Chanel have joined the board of directors of Unifab, the manufacturers' association for the international protection of intellectual property. The two fashion companies are respectively represented by their President, Philippe Lacoste, and General Counsel Europe, Marianna Nitsch. The inductions took place at Unifab's AGM, in the course of which three vice-presidents were also appointed to assist Unifab President Christian Peugeot.

They are Annick de Chaunac, in charge of legal affairs at Hermès, Jérôme Sibille, adviser to the president for legal affairs at LVMH, and Philippe Lacoste, "who will now represent SMEs within the board of directors," the association announced in a statement.
Also, Philippe Coen, Vice-President and Legal Director of the Walt Disney Company France, was appointed as Unifab’s Secretary General, and Thierry Sueur, Vice-President for International Affairs at Air Liquide, as its treasurer.
Counterfeiting is currently estimated to account for up to 10% of world trade, and to destroy approximately 40,000 jobs a year in France, and 2.5 million in G20 countries. In 2015 counterfeiting was estimated to be worth over $1.7 trillion.
